There are plenty of retro games that hearken back to the days of 8-bit and 16-bit consoles, but not many that show the ZX Spectrum much love. But that is no longer the case, have Tikipod created a game that is both fun to play and an affectionate love letter to a simpler era? Or has the cassette just jammed our tape players instead?

What with the release of the final Hobbit movie, I thought it would be fun to take a look back at some older games based on the works of J.R.R Tolkien.

Where better to start than the first game to be based on his work. Plus it’s on the ZX Spectrum. Everyone loves a bit of Speccy!
